He is working toward the Winter Mountain Leader Award and Rock Climbing Instructor Award (formerly the Single Pitch Award)

He has climbed all of the 282 Munros (mountains in Scotland over 3,000ft), all of the other 3,000ft (+) peaks across England and Wales, as well as explored many other wild areas across Britain. But he is equally happy exploring coast, moors, the enchanting and bleak plateaus of the Pennines, wild camping and exploring remote glens or climbing and scrambling crags and cliffs. In addition to Antarctica he has also been mountaineering in the European Alps.

He established AFS Mountain Walks in 2016 to combine his passion for teaching, science, nature and mountains and bring that to others. One of his proudest moments was seeing his 72 year old mother's expression of utter disbelief at reaching the summit of Cairngorm in Scotland (1,245 metres, 4,084 feet). Britain's sixth highest mountain. Her determination made it all the more valuable.

Fabian Seymour is the owner and operator of AFS Mountain Walks, and he has been out and about exploring the high places of Britain since 2001. He's worked with, and been a member of many University and other mountaineering clubs and has a passion for enthusing others with the love of mountain environments and landscapes, and building people's confidence to get outdoors.

His interest in the mountains began when he had the amazing opportunity to work in Antarctica for six months (the Antarctic summer of 2001 – 2002) researching how lichens were surviving in one of the most extreme environments in the world.
